Amanuma Hachiman Shrine

天沼八幡神社
This shrine is a Hachimansha shrine described in the article on Amanuma Village, Tama District, in the "Shin-hen Musashi Fudo Chronicle", and is said to have been founded in the Tensho year (1573-1591) in the former Amanuma Village, as described in the article "Seiji, 150 tsubo, Koremo Nakatanito Niari Kosho no Chinmori Nari Headquarters Ha Sanshaku 4 Nité Ni Sanma Minami Mukai Matsuri September Nite Shimono Inari 12 Shosho Gongen Tokoru Ryo Gyō Herito". The main deity was the 15th Emperor Ōjin (Honda Betsumei), who was revered by the locals as the god of military luck. Then, in September of the 40th year of Meiji (1907), the Itsukushima Shrine (Saijin City Kishima Hiyomi), which was the shrine of the four-sided road, was enshrined. Since the enshrinement, Ichikishima Hiyori has been deeply worshipped as the god of water and the god of easy childbirth, and the event of begging for rain has been handed down since ancient times. In April 1927, it became a village company. The current main hall was renovated in Showa 52 (1977) and Kagura-den was renovated in Heisei 16 (2004). In the Edo period, Amanuma Village was the territory of Kojimachi Hie Shrine (now Akasaka Hie Shrine), so Hie Shrine has been dedicated to this area as the last shrine since ancient times. In addition to Hie Shrine, there are Suga Shrine and Kanayamahiko Shrine (above). In addition to the shrine at the end of the precincts, there is the Inari Shrine (Sanden) and the Otori Shrine as a shrine within the precincts. Ōtori Shrine (Japan Buson) is worshipped as a shrine of prosperous business, and every year Rooster Day in November is a national holiday, and we award good luck rake guards and lucky rakes. The shrine was renovated in 2016.
