Arai Tenjin Kitano Shrine

新井天神北野神社
In the surviving Umeshoin auspiciousness, it is written that "Sumimochi Genkagami, several generations after Kaiki's Gyoshun, dedicated a hand-planted plum plant to Kitano Tenmangu during the Tenwa year." It is believed that our company was the guardian of Arai no Sato around the time of Tensho and Tenwa (16th century) as Tenmangu. The village of Arai, which is blessed with abundant water, prayed to the gods of heaven for protection from the flooding of the Myoshoji River, and prayed for a good harvest to the god of food, who is the parent of all food. Sugawara Michishinko, who was enshrined as a heavenly god, was an outstanding scholar in the world and rose to the rank of minister of the right, so he was later revered as a god of learning, and many people prayed for academic achievement, child growth, family safety, family prosperity, business prosperity, construction safety, traffic safety, and exorcism.
