Fukagawa Shinmeigu Shrine
深川神明宮About 400 years ago, the current Fukagawa area was a reed-infested delta, and no one lived there yet. Around that time, Fukagawa Hachiroemon (said to be a Settsu man) moved to this area with his family and began to cultivate the land. Hachiroemon had a deep respect for the gods, and built a small shrine in the mansion to enshrine the spirits of the great god of Ise Jingu, whom he revered on a daily basis, and prayed for the happiness of the settlers and the development of the land of Fukagawa.
This is the origin of Fukagawa Shinmeigu. And with the development of the land of Fukagawa, the small shrine of Hachiroemon's mansion was eventually called Fukagawa Shrine Shrine and became revered by many people, and has continued to this day.
