Fukurokujusondo (Mukojima Hundred Flower Garden)

The Sumida River Seven Lucky Gods Tour, which began the Edo Period Cultural Year, is counted as one of the oldest Seven Lucky Gods in Tokyo with a history of more than 200 years. Fukuroku Juson was the brainchild of cultural figures representing the culture of the townspeople of Edo who gathered at the Hundred Flowers Garden held in the first year of culture (1804), and the tour of the Seven Lucky Gods of the Sumida River began. The statue of Fukurokujuson was cherished and worshipped by the founder Koji Sawara as the god of the flowers and flowers of the Hundred Flower Garden. (From the information pamphlet)
