


Hachioji Naritasan Temple
八王子成田山傳法院In 1595, in the 4th year of Bunroku, the mountain was opened in Shimanobo-juku (present-day Hiyoshi Town) by Shunmori Hoin.
March 1865
It was moved from Shimanobo-juku (present-day Hiyoshi-cho) to 105 Yakaichi-juku, and the main hall was built to make it the Naritasan Haruka worship place of Hachioji.
April 1897 Meiji 30
The main hall and storehouse were burned down in the Great Fire of Hachioji, and in October it was moved to 25 Yakaichi, Hachioji-cho.
1906 Meiji 39
The precincts will be expanded and a stone wall on the east side and a stone wall on the south side will be erected.
The life-size statue of Myō Fudo and the statues of both children engraved by the Buddhist master Mitsushige Sato are the main shrines.
August 2, 1945
Due to the Greater East Asia War, the city of Hachioji was hit by a large air raid, and all the halls were reduced to ashes, but the main hall was rebuilt five years later.
November 1960
It was transferred from the Shingon sect of Daigo to the Shingon sect of Chizan sect and became the last temple of Naritasan Shinshoji Temple.
