Hoshozan Nanzoin Renkoji Temple

宝勝山 南藏院 蓮光寺
Hoshozan Nanzoin Renkoji Temple. It is said to have been founded around the 7th year of Kanei in Shimura Sakashita. It was originally built near the Arakawa River in Shimura Sakashita, but due to the repeated flooding of the Arakawa River, all of the temple treasures were lost. In the ninth year of Kyoho (1724), it was moved to its current location to avoid this flood disaster. On November 25, the 7th year of Kyoho, when the shogun Tokugawa Yoshimune conducted falconry in the Toda River (Arakawa), he became a gozensho and was given white silver. In Showa 2, the neighboring temple Myozan Kongo-in was merged.
