Kameido Water Shrine
亀戸水神社The number of companies that are said to be the water gods of Japan will probably reach several hundred. This god is usually called the water god, but I don't think many people know the true name of the god.
This deity is "Mizuhanome God", and in the Kojiki it is written as "Ya Tsunami Noseki God", and in the Japan Shoki it is written as "Oka Elephant Goddess", and is the son god of the two gods Isonagi and Isonami, and is revered as the sister god of Amaterasu.
The God of the Parents is the God of the management of the land that created the Great Eight Kingdoms, and He is equipped with all kinds of divine virtues, but among these, the one who has received all the divine virtues related to "water" is this water god, that is, the "Mizuhanome God."
This water shrine is dedicated to the aforementioned deity, and at the beginning of the cultivation of Nitta, the local people solicited the water god on the embankment and prayed for the flood damage, and it is believed that it was founded in the year of Ryoroku (about 440 years ago).
