Kasai Shrine

葛西神社
It is said that the company was founded as the chief guardian of the Kasai Thirty-Three Villages in the first year of the first year of the Lunar Calendar (1184) by soliciting the spirits of the Katori Shrine of Shimoso Province, and in November of the 19th year of Tensho (1591), Tokugawa Ieyasu gave us 10 red seals. The "Wakabayashi" created by Mr. Jingu Nose of our company during the Kyoho years was later popularized as "Hayashi" at festivals throughout Edo City and other nearby areas as "Kasai Hayashi", and is still transmitted as one of the local performing arts of the region, and was designated as an Intangible Cultural Property of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government on November 3, Showa 28, and continues to this day.
