Kashima Shrine
鹿嶋神社This shrine began in the Heian Dynasty, in the second year of Anwa (969), during the reign of the 62nd Emperor Reizumi, when a monk of Minami-Shinagawa Jogyo-ji Temple, Sonei Hoin, solicited the spirits from Kashima Jingu Shrine in the land of Hitachi and enshrined them here.
