Miho Kashima Shrine
御穂鹿嶋神社It is said that the shrine was founded in the Muromachi period, in the 5th year of Onaga (1525). During the reign of Emperor Go-Murakami, an old man came from the capital to this place and established a hermitage. At that time, the land of Shibahama was a small fishing village with only a few households, so it is said that he taught the villagers the righteousness of loyalty and piety. It is said that the old man was Sir Fujiwara Fujifusa (萬里小路藤房), and after his death, a palace was set up on the ruins of the hermitage in honor of his virtue, and rituals have been continued.

Kashima Shrine
A long time ago, there was a temple that washed up on Shibahama from the coast. It is said that the coins stored in the temple in the middle of the Hada Sea did not get wet at all. As the days passed, the people of the land sought out the temple and inquired. This is a shrine that sits in Kashima, so I tied it to a boat and rowed home. However, this temple flowed again to the land of Shibahama, and since there was an oracle that said, "You should sit down in this ura," it came to be enshrined here.
