


Shin-Hase-dera Temple
新長谷寺It was originally located in Sekiguchi, Bunkyo Ward. At the behest of the second Tokugawa shogun, Hidetada, a monk of Hase-ji Temple in Nara Prefecture, Nakako by Hidekaku. During the Kanei years, Tokugawa Iemitsu bestowed the name of "Mejiro Fudo". After that, it continued to develop under the patronage of the fifth shogun, Tsunayoshi, and his mother, Katsura Shoin. However, it was burned down in the Yamate air raid on May 25, Showa 20. The temple was abandoned in Showa 24 and merged into Kinjoin Temple in Showa 26, and the statue of Mejiro Fudo Myō was moved to the precincts of the temple.
