Susaki Shrine

洲崎神社
In the 13th year of Genroku (1700), through the efforts of the great priest Takamitsu of Gomokuin, the birth mother of the fifth shogun, Prince Tsunayoshi, Benzaiten (Kobo Daishisaku) and Inarisha were enshrined on Mt. Nakamomiji in Edo Castle, and it was called Suzaki Bentensha. Since then, the company has flourished as a tourist attraction in Edo, and was renamed Suzaki Shrine when Shinto and Buddhist shrines were separated in the Meiji era.
