Wuliang Temple
無量寺The date of its construction is unknown, but it is estimated that it was built around the end of the Heian period and the beginning of the Kamakura period from the Buddha statues and steles excavated from the temple grounds.
Initially, it was called Chofuku-ji, but the temple was renamed to its current name because the eighth Tokugawa shogun, Yoshimune, named his heir son Chofukumaru (later Ieshige). In addition, in the 14th year of Genroku (1701), Katsura Shoin, the biological mother of the 5th shogun Tsunayoshi, visited the temple.
