It used to be the last temple of Nakano Hosenji, but it became the last temple of Otowa Gokokuji Temple in the ninth year of Genroku. In ancient times, it was a large temple with a large precinct, and it was named Ryuike Mountain because there was a large pond from the Oyo Kotoyama mansion in the south to the Tsuchiya clan's mansion in the north. There is a theory that it was founded in the middle of the Chengwa period (834-847) by the re-establishment of the Shinya monks. It was built at its present location around the sixth year of Keicho (1601), and during the Enpo year, it was revived by the Hoin Sheng Genchu, and also served as a separate shrine for the Suwa Shrine. The honzon is called "Amitabha of the Three-Valve Fire", and the seated statue is called "Amitabha of the Heart", which is also called "Amitabha of the Heart". In the Musashi Fudoki, it is written, "There is a temple treasure Ichi, which is called the ball of the easy birth. Hojo Toe Mori Tokimasa's son Sagami Mori Yoshitoki's wife had a difficult birth and was able to attend and feel it at Enoshima Benzaiten, and with her blessing she gave birth safely. In addition, the jade is often secretly dedicated to the Gohonmaru for use. It will be donated to this temple by chance." Adjacent to the precinct cemetery is "Tsuchiya Jizoson".
