Yakumo Hikawa Shrine
八雲氷川神社It is the shrine of the old village, and the three pillars of the shrine are Sobetsuguson, Inada Hime, and Omi.
The date of its construction is not detailed, but it can be seen that it is quite old from the fact that there is a description of the dedication in the 14th year of culture (1817) in the chancel, and that the shrine was renovated in the 2nd year of Ansei (1855).
The festival is held in January, May, and September every year, and especially in September, the "Sword Dance" is dedicated at the Kagura Hall, which expresses the "story of the slaying of the great serpent of the Hakki" by Sobetsuguson.
It is an ancient dance that has been handed down for about 200 years, and it is a beautiful dance performed by one person to the accompaniment of drums, flutes, and loud beats.
This shrine has long been widely worshipped as the "god of sealing tantrums" and has flourished with pilgrims from as far away as Shimoso and Sagami.
